I hope your Christmases were fabulous and full of love and happiness!! This was the first year that I have not been able to see my family on Christmas so my amazing boyfriend invited me home to his families Christmas in Atlanta. I am so lucky his family welcomed me with open arms and let me participate in all of their celebrations it was the next best thing to being home with my own family.
Today's post however is not just about my Christmas trip it is about what in the world we are going to wear for New Years Eve!
I always tell myself that New Years Eve is the one day of the year where I can really go crazy with the girlie things and the sparkles but I never do!! This year it will be warm here in Savannah so that opens up my options quite a bit. However I understand that for a lot of my readers it will be winter weather and you need warm outfits that are also cute and festive! In light of that I have come up with two ideas that have pants and two that are skirts/dresses.
Outfit A has sparkle leggings that are lined on the inside to avoid that horrible scratching that sometimes is a result of rocking sparkles and a simple black top that is wearable year round! The leggings seem to be super comfortable and are high rise so even though the top is a crop top you won't have to worry about being freezing. You could also throw a casual blazer or leather jacket over the outfit for additional warmth.
Shirt - Miss Selfridge - $14
Leggings - Victoria Swing - $33.59
Outfit B is an amazing embellished crop top that I will be purchasing and using throughout the year and faux leather leggings. I have been wanting to add faux leather leggings to my wardrobe for a while now and I think New Years is the best time to test them out! One thing I have heard from friends and fellow bloggers about faux leather leggings is to make sure you get ones that are lined so that you don't end up like Ross on Friends!
Shirt - Topshop - $70
Pants - Knitted Belle - $24.50
Clutch - ThredUp - $28.49
Moon and Star Cuff - Asos - $9
Pearl Cuff - Bauble Bar - $24
Stacked Cuff - Charlotte Russe - $6
Earrings - Nordstrom Rack - $9.97
Shoes - Choies - $37.99
Outfit C is a style that I have been seeing more and more frequently and have been dying to try out! A cute crop top with a tulle skirt, tulle skirts have been very popular as of late and I love the champagne color of this specific skirt.
Shirt - Charlotte Russe - $14.99
Skirt - Chic Wish - $50.92
Shoes - Charlotte Russe - $35.99
Outfit D is a dress from Rent the Runway, the reason I picked a rental dress is because a lot of times we buy these fancy shiny dresses for New Years Eve parties and then don't look at them again. To avoid this I recommend Rent the Runway, I just rented two dresses from them one for a bachelorette party and another for the actual wedding. I have rented from them previously and have had amazing luck! Also you only need three days notice to get your dress so order now and you'll have a dress by New Years!
Dress - Rent the Runway - $35 for a 4 day rental
Shoes - Nasty Gal - $56
Again I picked accessories that could go with both outfits aside from the shoes which I picked for each outfit.
Clutch - Mango - $24.99
Earrings - Barneys Warehouse - $39
