I'm back! After a little hiatus from blogging to take a quick trip to the frozen tundra I am back with some wedding stories and a little review of my experience with Rent the Runway which I used to rent my dress for the wedding.
I rented two dresses on my trip home, the first one was for the Bachelorette party a week before the wedding. I placed my order for both dresses together and the nice thing about Rent the Runway is that I could order two dresses but have different delivery dates. The Bachelorette party dress was supposed to get to my moms house the day before I did. Unfortunately it DID NOT. I didn't even think about it until my sister asked me why mom's dress was there but mine wasn't.
I called Rent the Runway, keep in mind the Bachelorette party was the NEXT night! They told me that due to a glitch in their system my order didn't even go through and the dress that I wanted wasn't available for the weekend so I had to find a new dress. They assured me that it would arrive between 8 am and noon, which didn't work for me because we had to leave for Minneapolis before that, so they said they would have it delivered to the hotel we were staying at. I agreed and they told me to go online and pick out another dress and that I could pick a dress that cost double what I originally paid to rent, so I had $80 to spend.
Good news, the dress was delivered to the hotel. Bad news, Expedia messed up our reservations and made it for the NEXT weekend, which was the weekend of the wedding and we would be a little occupied. The Vikings played the Seahawks that weekend too so that meant the hotel we were staying at was full except for one $400 room and so we moved on to the Weston. Thankfully they had a room available and so we booked and headed over. Now it's like -3 degrees plus windchill and mom and I are walking from the Weston to where we parked the car with my sister and her boyfriend. We FINALLY make it back to the parking garage and the doors we walked out of were LOCKED so we walk around the whole block to try to find a way in. We figure it out and we take the elevator up to the floor that we think we parked on, wrong floor. Then we are just like okay we will take the stairs up the floor and find the car. The door to the parking garage is LOCKED!
We call Hope in the car and tell her to let us in, she comes running, and runs the wrong way towards the elevator so I called her and she finally let us in.
So by the time we got checked in and settled into our hotel room mom and I decided we needed a drink.
Then we had to run to our dinner reservations in sweats because we lost track of the time... Then it was time for the actual party!! I only have one picture of the dress that I wore because well I'm blaming it on the dead cell phone and not the ridiculous amounts of drinks that I consumed.
Anyway here are the few photos I got before my phone died that night!
Fast forward to Wednesday I had an appointment to get my hair cut because it's significantly cheaper in my hometown than in Savannah. And well this happened!
Now lets get on to the wedding! My dress for the wedding got to me without any problems and Hope and I rented the same dress and thank goodness we ordered different sizes because it turned out that neither of Hope's sizes fit and my extra dress happened to fit her perfectly! Here are some pictures of the dress!
Here are some cute photos from the wedding and our photo booth fun at the reception!
I've been bad about blogging lately so hopefully I am back on track and I will be back on Friday!
I hope you enjoyed this recap!
